City of Cape Town (municipality) proud of clean swimming pools

The condition of the Sea Point pool is a constant issue for many of its regular and faithful visitors. A recent post on the official website of the City of Cape Town, clearly states the official opinion.

Well, I am glad the city fathers realise that our swimming pools are important facilities, and ones that need to be maintained. Public pools like the one in Sea Point, are places of human interaction, where Cape Town shows its true character.

But strangely, the post makes no reference to the recent closure of the pool due to technical problems.  Only three out of twelve pumps are in working order, sources have claimed.

For the love of water

I had just an hour or so to swim yesterday, but it turned out to be one of the more social days at the pool.  Ran into Tamara (on her last Sea Point swim for 2009), Francois and also Jana and Frieda.

Didn’t make it today 😦
